Create a self promotion Christmas card for a pet grooming business.

I drew a negative pyramid of facing animals and then mounted them on to green metallic cardboard. The inside of the card reads ‘Spruce up your Firs’.

Design a brochure promoting a local parkour group. Pose as the runner, but don’t allow your body to leave the ground. 

I produced a 12 page brochure for this university project. I entered it in to a Derby-wide competition, and won first prize – an Ipod touch!

Create a book based on the word ‘time’, made entirely out of type.

This was a university project and stretched my imagination and typography skills. I chose to represent time as a prison scenario and was initially inspired by some death row graffiti that read ‘never pick up a dead mans gun’. This statement conjured up mental images of innocent people facing death, and inspired me to produce this 12 page book.

Create a unique portrait for a self-promotional piece.

I chose to draw a realistic portrait using a biro pen and exerts from Beckett’s first novel -  ‘More Pricks Than Kicks’.  I chose Beckett as he was an avant-garde writer with a creative and witty style, and I felt this reflected loukabooga’s methodology. The loukabooga thought bubble suggests this attitude. 

My client team communicated that their school was too business-like and didn’t feel like a school. They wanted colour on the walls and an eye catching wayfinding system.  Another student chose the London Underground map as a simple way to navigate students and visitors through the building. I built on this and designed signage for the doorframes that indicated which area of study was in the classroom.

Banks Mill is an incubator unit owned by the University of Derby to provide creative industries studio space within the city.

The brief was to create promotional material for the 10^th anniversary Open Studios event, which shows the diversity of the businesses within Banks Mill.

Create a 40-page brochure / programme for the charity auction at Bamfords Auctioneers in Derby. The auction included lots from Prince Charles and the Shah of Iran.
